Ice climbing workshop in Rjukan

We are happy to announce the upcoming ice climbing workshop in Rjukan!

Save the date: 27.1- 29.1.23

We will head out together Friday afternoon (27.1.23) after work, probably around kl. 16:00. In Rjukan, we booked a cabin until Sunday (29.1.23) for all of us. There we can have common dinners Friday & Saturday. On Friday evening we will prepare the equiment for the coming ice climing days. It is planned to climb the whole Saturday and Sunday. We will meet up with a very experienced instructor who will guide the two-days "workshop".

We have 6 spots available, so sign up soon if you know you want to join. You do not need to have a rope partner in advance, you can team up with one of the other participants.

The content of the workshop will depend on ice conditions and the experience level of the group, but it will cover ice climbing technique, safety aspects, how to place ice screws, make Abalakovs for retreat. First and foremost it will be about climbing ice and having fun! You don't necessarily need to have climbed ice before, but in order to join the workshop, we require that you

• have brattkort (or similar experience from abroad)
• have experience in leading sport routes outside (on rock), set up top rope anchors
• know how to rappel 

The price covers accomodation for two nights, dinner Friday & Saturday, breakfast Saturday & Sunday, the instructor, and the equipment you might need!

Regarding transportation: Do you have a private car that we can use for driving to Rjukan? This would be great! Please give us a short notice or send us a message if you can drive! Thank you in advance!

Otherwise we have to organise cars to get to Rjukan. These costs are not included in the price.
