This spring, OSI Klatring is arranging a course in traditional climbing in Bohuslän, Sweden.
Traditional climbing – or trad climbing – is based on placing your own protection equipment as you climb, as opposed to sport climbing – where permanent bolts have already been placed.
Since we have members who have finished this course before, we are opening this event up for those of you that just want to come climbing, without participating in the course.
We will provide rooms for 14 people. Because we have to instructors, we can have six course participants. This leaves room for six people who just want to come climbing.
To be able to participate in the course, you need to have a Brattkort, or some equivalent certificate. As a minimum, you need to know how to belay using a tubular device – not a Grigri or similar assisted devices.
The course is 1500 NOK per person, and for those who will not participate in the course, the trip will be free.
Dinner friday and saturday will be provided by OSI Klatring.
When you sign up, you will have to specify whether you are coming to participate in the course, or if you just want to come along on the trip.
For transport, we will use private cars. If you are participating, and you have a car, let us know. Transport costs will be refunded.
We will leave friday morning from Blindern Campus, and travel together to the camping site.
A more detailed program will be published later.
All questions about the trip may be directed to email@example.com.
PS! If we sell out all the tickets, we will try to get more rooms, or check the possibility of bringing tents.
